Excellence Fund

Excellence Fund

As a Christ-centered, college preparatory school, the Excellence Fund is essential to enhance programs, facilities, opportunities, and achieve a margin of excellence not funded by tuition. It helps fund essentials including professional development, curriculum enhancement, new and innovative technology, campus improvements, tuition subsidies, and more.  The Excellence Fund helps support student activities and leadership development, counseling, and spiritual life--all cornerstones of our commitment to Christ. The Excellence Fund enriches the educational experience of every SCS student and allows us to honor our rich history, secure a bright future, leave a lasting legacy, and fulfill our mission. At Southwest Christian School, we believe in pursuing excellence as a way to honor Christ.

Excellence Fund Impact

This year, we plan for the Excellence Fund to help enhance the student experience campus-wide by helping provide an array of opportunities that build community and create a safe, engaging, and uplifting environment:

In previous years, the fund helped provide:

  • High-speed computers for an Esports Club and a tournament.
  • Expansion of a leadership development course (low ropes).
  • Theatrical lighting for the Cafetorium.

  • Security upgrades to parallel those already in place on the Lakeside Campus.
  • Enhanced digital projection capability
  • New bleachers in the Snelson Gymnasium together with Booster Club
  • Updated the view and furnishings in the Drury classrooms
  • Professional development for faculty and staff
