A significant goal of a college preparatory school is guiding students into appropriate college placement as they complete their high school years. The Southwest Christian School College Counseling Center has made a commitment to provide a supportive environment for students and families to make informed choices by providing resource materials, offering counsel and assisting in the submission of applications. The Minimester program at Southwest Christian School exists to offer a wide range of travel, enrichment, and global, national, and local service opportunities for our students. The uncommon and enriching experiences that the SCS Minimester provides further equip our students to become Christian leaders in the world. Past experiences include: building/renovating homes in Honduras and Jamaica, serving orphans in Kenya and in rural South Africa, exploring geology, glaciology, and volcanoes in Iceland, and engaging in masterclass acting workshops on Broadway.
