GREETINGS FROM VIRGINIA!
Today we went to Colonial Williamsburg. We all got a glimpse of life in 18th century Virginia. We saw blacksmiths, silversmiths, millers, wigmakers, and many other interesting professionals and craftsmen. We learned about the judicial system including the House of Burgesses. We even had a mock trial! We saw the opulence of the governor's palace, and in the evening, we learned about the "legends" of Williamsburg. Despite the continual drizzle and rain, we had a fantastic time. Tomorrow is a FULL DAY! We will be up early for a fun-filled experience in Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement, and then it's off to Yorktown. Some of our group will be arriving around 8:30pm while others will be coming back to the metroplex at midnight. We are having a fabulous time. Wish you all were here to share in our experience. Above is a group photo that was taken in front of Monticello yesterday. Please continue to pray for our group.
