With a score of 297 boys golf wins Regionals. Congratulations and good luck at State.

The boys golf has taken the first step in defending their
state championship from a year ago by winning the TAPPS 4A District 1 match.
The conditions were difficult but the boys continued to demonstrate composure
hole after hold by placing the 4 players in the top 10 individually.
Congratulations and good luck at Regionals.

Congratulations to Joseph Kim winning two 1st
place medals at TAPPS swim state meet. Joseph
won the 100 yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:01.85 and 200 yard IM with a
time of 2:03.49.

Jerald Rogers represented SCS in Tom Hillary All-Star game at Pennington Field
in December 2012. These two young men represented SCS well. Congratulations on
a tremendous achievement to be chosen as one of the best players in the metroplex.

Southwest Christian School students recently demonstrated their charitable spirit with a gift to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth. The students collected $1,400 to donate to the Virginia Clay Dorman Breast Care Center at Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth. The hard work and generosity of the students greatly impressed Virginia Clay Dorman, and she agreed to personally match their contribution.

2012 was a year of first for the SCS varsity softball team.
Under the leadership of Meagan White (head coach), Dana Parnell (assistant
coach) and Cindy Westfall (assistant coach) the team won their first district
title, their first regional title and qualified for the state championship
game.

Cameron Krc was one of the most decorated athletes in
SCS history. Setting school records in the 200m,400m, 800m, 4x200 relay, 4x400 relay, and the long jump. Cameron qualified for state in three events. As part of the 4 x400 m relay team, SCS took second place. Cameron later set the state 400m record with a time of 48.48
Congratulations to Cameron for an outstanding high school track career. Cameron will continue his track career by running for Tarleton State

Over the past 5 years, the team has played a major role in
the outcome of the TAPPS 4A tournament. 2012 was no exception! Down by 5
strokes to Second Baptist (Houston) after the first day, the team returned to
the course the next day with one purpose‐ to win the state title! Led by Grant
Griffin (77‐79) and Andrew Hudson (77‐76), the team was able to secure their
second State Championship in three years!! Graham Lewis, Will Dennis, and Matt Thorne
turned in outstanding play on the second day to overcome the 5 stroke deficit.
