Executive Director Hired
Southwest Christian School Advancement Office was pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Tim Plocica, Executive Director of Advancement, for the 2012-2013 school year. Plocica has more than 18 years of fundraising experience in the nonprofit arena. Most recently, he was a director of development for Cook Children’s Health Foundation, where he was responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of the major gifts and planned giving components of the comprehensive fundraising program. Prior to his work at Cook, he served as director of development at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where he worked with community volunteers and university leaders to raise funds for the Innovations in Medicine Campaign. Prior to that, he was director of annual giving and donor relations at St. Paul Medical Foundation in Dallas and raised funds to build and operate the UT Southwestern/St. Paul Heart, Lung and Vascular Clinical Center of Excellence. Plocica also served as development officer at the Amon Carter Museum, where he worked with community volunteers to raise funds for the Excitement is Building expansion campaign. In his new role at SCS, Plocica will implement annual, capital and planned giving strategies and also will teach a history class. A lifelong Fort Worth resident, Plocica is a graduate of Southwest High School and received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in American and European history from the University of Texas at Austin. He also has earned the certified fund raising executive designation. He is a member of St. Patrick Cathedral, where he serves on the Pastoral Council. He also serves on the advisory board of the Fort Worth Public Library as well as on the boards of Union Gospel Mission and Rotary Club of Fort Worth.
