ABOUT SOUTHWEST CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Southwest Christian School is an independent, interdenominational, Christian preparatory school founded in 1969. We currently offer classes in the divisions of Early Childhood (Pre-K4 and Kindergarten Preparatory), Elementary School (K-6), Middle School (7-8) and High School (9-12) serving over 800 students. Two campuses and a combined fifty acres of land provide ample facilities and space to provide a safe environment in which your child can explore ideas and purpose, with Christian guidance and teachings to ensure your child won't get lost along the way.

ACCREDITATION
Southwest Christian School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Texas Education Association (TEA). The school is affiliated with the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), the Texas Association of Non-Public Schools (TANS), the Texas Private Schools Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the National Christian School Association (NCSA), the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and the Texas Christian School Association (TCSA).
WHY CHOOSE SCS?
As a parent, you know that all children are not alike. Each child has his or her own special talents, interests, academic and emotional needs. A school that is right for one may not be the best choice for another. When you are selecting a school, consider these questions:
Is the curriculum appropriate for my child's talents and goals?
Will the school challenge without overwhelming?
Will my child be comfortable in the school's environment? Will I?
Will my child learn the values and Christian ethics that are important to my family?
THE SCS DIFFERENCE
Students at Southwest Christian School are here because they want to be here - and that makes all the difference. Bound by common goals and aspirations both academically and spiritually, students find an environment where peer pressure works toward education and citizenship, combined with an atmosphere where academic achievement and spiritual growth are valued and do not conflict with social acceptance. And while intellectual and spiritual curiosity can't be "taught," it can be "caught." Your child's efforts will be encouraged and rewarded, laying the foundation for a lifetime of achievement academically, hand-in-hand with a lifetime relationship with God.
SCS IS ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS
Southwest Christian School is small, and so are our class sizes. Teachers get to know every one of their students well, not just in the classroom, but on the athletic field, in the drama productions, or during after school enrichment activities. Trust grows from the close teacher/student relationships. Students feel free to discuss ideas and problems with their teachers - teachers whom they look to as both allies and Christian examples.
SCS IS ABOUT ENVIRONMENTS
As a result of close teacher/student relationships, Southwest Christian School becomes an extension of your family. It provides a safe environment in which your child can explore ideas and feelings, and the Christian guidance and teachings ensure your child will not get lost while exploring.
We hope after you have reviewed all SCS has to offer, you will find Southwest Christian School to be your first choice for a quality Christian education.
THE SPIRIT OF SCS
The Southwest Christian School spirit is comprised of many different qualities that combine to build a sound foundation for life - a spirit of Christ, of learning, of sportsmanship, of creativity, of tradition, and of family. Finally, a spirit of striving for excellence encompasses whatever we do - as students, teachers and parents.
