Southwest Christian School Prep Campus Elections Survey
Part of the mission of Southwest Christian School is to prepare young adults to be Christian leaders in the world. We recognize the importance of responsible and informed decision making in that effort.
On Friday, October 10, the students on our Preparatory Campus participated in a mock Presidential election. Students from grades 7-12 were given ballots that presented a range of issues and they were asked to vote according to the view that best represented their own view on the particular issue. The ballot also asked what single issue, in their opinion, is the most critical issue facing our country. The last question on the ballot asked for a vote for either Senator Obama or Senator McCain.
Below you will find a pdf of the ballot that was used, a pdf of the results, as well as the powerpoint presentation that we utilized to present the results to our students on Thursday, October 16th. The results were very interesting and insightful. Included in the presentation was prayer for our country and for our future leadership.
We remain grateful to live in a country where we can freely discuss issues, vote according to our conscience, and honor God through the process. Thank you for your time and support!
