HOMECOMING 2009

Homecoming 2009 was a great time of fellowship for all Southwest Christian School graduates. The celebration began Friday afternoon as alumni came to SCS to visit friends and continued that night at the Eagle football game and dinner. At the game, Alumni enjoyed a fajita dinner catered by Rosa’s Café, looking through old yearbooks, catching up with classmates and favorite teachers and being greeted by current SCS students who miss them! Class representatives were presented at halftime on the football field, followed by the presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Awards for 2009 given to Jarod Cox and Steffi Pappas Hill. On Saturday night, the classes of 1994, 1999, and 2004 attended individual class reunions where old friendships were re-kindled.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni for Homecoming 2009 were Steffi Pappas Hill, class of 2000, and Jarod Cox, class of 1999. This award is presented to alumni who are found to be Christian leaders in their community and in their chosen profession and who represent the mission and ideals of Southwest Christian School.
