KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten applicants must be five years of age by September 1 to be considered for placement.

Steps to enrollment are:

1. Contact Kim Bentley at the Elementary Admissions Office, 817-294-0350, ext. 117, to schedule a tour.

2. Contact the Elementary Admissions Office to schedule a required kindergarten entrance exam for one of the following dates: Sunday, February 5, 2012 and Saturday, February 11, 2012.

3. Make a reservation for your child to attend one of our scheduled required Kindergarten Observation Days on February 7 or 15, 2012, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. by calling the Elementary Admissions Office.

All kindergarten applicants are required to take an entrance exam and attend an observation day.

4. Make sure all the following information has been turned in to the Admissions Office no later than February 9 to be eligible for first round of Kindergarten placements:

• Online Application
• Student Photograph
• Application Fee - $50 (for 2012/13 applicants)
• Record of Immunizations
• Birth Certificate
• Parent Questionnaire
• Teacher Recommendation (to be returned by the current Early Childhood teacher)
• $100.00 testing fee

This information, along with entrance exam results, observation day and teacher evaluation is used by the Admissions Committee to make acceptance and placement decisions. You will be notified by mail. First Round Kindergarten notifications will be mailed February 24, 2012. Any applications received after the February 10 deadline for first round of placements will be evaluated individually within a timely manner. If accepted, an enrollment contract and information regarding tuition will be included with the acceptance letter. The enrollment contract and non-refundable tuition deposit must be returned to the Admissions Office before enrollment is official.
