KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten applicants must be five years of age by September 1st to be considered for placement.

Steps to enrollment are:

Contact the Kim Bentley at the Elementary Admissions Office, 817-294-0350 ext. 117, to schedule a group tour or attend one of the Elementary Admissions Events on October 20th, November 17th, or January 14th (Times listed on Events and Important Dates). Schedule a Kindergarten Entrance Exam with the Elementary Admissions Office. Entrance exams will be scheduled during three consecutive weeks beginning January 25, 2010.

1. Make reservations for your child to attend Kindergarten Visit Day on February 3 or 9, 2010 by calling the Elementary Admissions Office.

2. Make sure all the following information has been turned in to the Admissions Office No Later than February 5th to be eligible for Observation Day. The final application deadline for the first round of Kindergarten placements is February 5, 2010:

• Application for Enrollment
• Record of Immunizations
• Birth Certificate
• Student Photograph
• $100.00 testing fee
• Parent Questionnaire
• Teacher Recommendation (to be returned by the current Pre-K teacher)

This information, along with testing results and reference is used by the Admissions Committee to make acceptance and placement decisions. You will be notified by mail. First Round Kindergarten notifications will be mailed February 26, 2010. Any spaces remaining after February 26th will be evaluated individually within a timely manner. If accepted, an enrollment contract and information regarding tuition will be included with the acceptance letter. The enrollment contract and the non-refundable tuition deposit must be returned to the Admissions Office before enrollment is official.
