Grade Level Educational Travel
One aspect of the educational porcess is learning outside of the classroom. This takes place in many ways depending on the grade level of your child. Examples of these learning experiences include:
7th Grade DC/Virginia Trip
Seventh graders, faculty and parent chaperones take a trip to Washington D.C. and Virginia in November. Joshua Expeditions facilitates the trip each year. Students visit various places like the Smithsonian museum, the Washington, Jefferson and F. Roosevelt memorials, Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the John F. Kennedy memorial and Arlington House, the Iwo Jima memorial commemorating one of the most costly victories of World War II, George Washington’s home of Mount Vernon, the National Archives including viewing copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, and the Holocaust Memorial Museum.
